Butterflies will eat meat

Some butterflies do drink BLOOD so the constant's butterflies probably do too

Heavens, I thought this meant that they pick up and eat meat while flying around 

I'd say this might be intended behavior, although a bit weird lorewise. Also, try feed them buttermuffins.
