Extend the priorities

Recommended Posts

Here i am again suggesting the priority above 9 usable during red alert. Lets just use an ! symbol for it. Any job ordered during red alert defaults to this level and ignores personal priorities. It`s a sort of "all hands on deck" priority meant to save dying dupes and prevent disasters.

Now another one. The polar opposite of it. A 0 priority used for planning only. Tasks set on 0 won`t get done even when dupes are idle. Those things are planned but won`t get done until you move the priority higher.

If auto-sweepers could still interact with these priority levels, this would be useful for removing dupe interference, say storing items into a compactor that dupes can pull out of, but not put things into.

i'd like to double down on this concept with one minor suggestion, start EVERYTHING at a lower priority than 5, naturally I would say 1, but there ARE a FEW few FEW cases, that being i'd say about 0.1% of my entire play experience I go lower than 5 naturally. that being said starting at 3 for EVERYTHING should be fine.

normally, when I want dupes to prioritize something it ends up naturally being at 7, other 7s naturally are my when u get to it, 8s are my I want this now, and 9 is "if this doesnt happen in the next 10 seconds, it'll go to 'red alert' do this NOW, or some1 will die."

going from 0-9 or 0-10 while starting off at a 2 or 3 gives much more prioritizing, also allowing 0 to be 'used blueprints' while ur planning something, and everything you do gets set to 10 automatically while at red alert.
