Rainbowdesign
Hey, i am making config files for different planet rules. What i have already: Ice Planet: liquids freeze over time. Aquatic Planet: Some elements turn to water and then water grows. Planned Sick planet: elements add slimelung Seasons. Desert planet. I like to have more suggestions with rulesets. For the desert planet as example i have now in mind that water will heat over time and shrink when it reaches a certain temperature. Aswell that slime turns into sand or sandstone. Maybe also replace ice and heat the remainder of the ice biome up. Please give some more suggestions. crypticorb
I commented a long while ago in a thread asking about challenge elements, here's a few that you might be interested in: Critter breeding seasons: all critters breed like NUTS, eating everything, moving through doors. Could be both a boon and a curse, for food and nuisance. Geyser eruptions: all volcanoes, geysers, and vents output 10x their normal output continuously for a period. Could be a huge benefit for the prepared, or absolutely trash the unprepared. Solar Flares. Outbreak: all diseases are chlorine resistant (not immune), spread like wildfire, and overcrowding limits are far higher. Meteor seasons: 24/7 meteors, with shove voles getting spawned with them. A new idea I just had, I remember a few old minecraft mods that added challenge map generation. One in particular was making spheres, with biomes all in completely isolated orbs surrounded by glass, with small bridges, or no bridges, connecting them together. These spheres were massive, but were still an incredible challenge to survive. Especially solar flares putting off generators. I have most code for seasons already but not all. But for all of that i need to try to access the gameplay mechanics at runtime with a trigger. I will have to see how good that will work, but i will certainly try some of that stuff in the future.
