[Suggestions] Couple suggestions for the following updates

Recommended Posts

1. An option to disable grass gekkos in the world gen settings

- I hate those pesky rascals, i just want a grass farm

2. A way to get rid of the cluster of unwanted items ( low durability tools )

- Guess lure plants are fine, but still, i'd like something more accessible for such thing, maybe the ability to just use them as fuel on a fire pit ?

3. Late game storage

- Add stockpile recipe, something similar to the storeroom mod so we don't have to build 100 boxes ( the recipe should be quite expensive tho )

4. Infinite light source for late game

- Should be quite hard to get the recipe and the ingredients

5. Do something about those veggie farms

- They are quite not worth crafting

6.Backpack and amulet slot

- It's been 6 years and they weren't implemented in the official game yet

7. More options in world gen settings for the map layout

- Option to disable roads

- Ocean to Land ratio option maybe

- A more square or rounded shapes for the land layout

I believe that setting off starting variety and resource changing (I hope that's how they are called) can prevent spawning gekkos. Tho I'm not sure as I never tried it.

I really oppose this. Managing inventory is one of the game's challenges, which also gives multiple playstyles depending on what items the player picks. If we could wear everything all the time that's not just boring, but would make the game a lot easier. For those who'd like backpack and amulet slots already there are mods to do so.

Yeah, setting resource variety to classic will always get you with twigs, grass and normal berry bushes. Although I'm pretty sure resource changing was removed now that resource variants can coexist with each other now. So last I knew, it's not currently possible to disable grass gekkos entirely without a mod.

When it comes to tools and such, just use them up completely. If mods are an option, I'd recommend repair combine. That way you can add that last bit of durability to another damaged tool. Otherwise lureplants work fine.

Chests really don't take up much space, so you can make a really compact storage area if you wanted to. Although if you want lategame storage, then using both scaled chests and bundling wraps lets you store a maximum of 48 stacks in a single chest . Although I wouldn't be opposed to new storage methods. As long as it's more interesting then just a "bigger chest".

Mushlights and glowcaps are exactly that. Store some lightbulbs in bundling wrap and you'll be good to go for a very long time.

If it's been 6 years and it's still not a thing, then there might just be a reason for that. Inventory management is a skill that must be mastered just just like how you need to master dealing with weather.
