True. But if you happen to have a CO² geyser, you can refill it constantly, if you dont need the gas anywhere else. You wont get a dense atmosphere, but its enough for a steady heat transfer, if you deliver the gas in a wide spread to the area.

that might sound good on paper but have you tried this?

Yeah have done it, with a luckly nearby CO² geyser with ~-40° output. The density never raised above serveral grams, but the cold gas cooled really good, prior to disapperaing into space.

How old? the robo-miner was added in the current update

I'm sorry but I'm having a hard time believing small amounts of CO2 (which has a low thermal conductivity) can keep multiple robo-miners from overheating in a vacuum across the whole surface, and what do you do about the geyser downtime?
