RonEmpire
I'm sure this has already been mentioned before in a bug report or a suggestion (maybe?) But if a character rolls traits that prevent them from doing something. Can we please make sure that the Attributes don't roll points into skill points that are useless. Examples: Can't Cook. Why have points in Cooking. Can't Dig, points in digging? etc... Gwido
And same on the other way. If a duplicant like a job, it should have at least 1 point set in the linked attribute. It's quite a shame to roll a cooker without any point in cooking. lurkinglurker
On a very, very tiny related note: if the above suggestion is added into the game, please don't do this for Learning when the dupe cannot Research. While Learning impacts Research the most, it does also affect things like skill gain and job learning speeds too... Tekky
I agree with all of the posts above. On the other hand, it may be simpler to just make the game hide the digging skill if the dupe cannot dig, for example by displaying "can't dig" instead of a number. RonEmpire
I do agree about the Yokel and Learning. Since Learning skill points affect rate of skill increases and has nothing to do with the actual researching itself. This I think is okay for having points in them. But for skills like DIG and COOK that affects only the job function. The points in their skills are useless/meaningless if they have a trait that denies the skill points purpose.
