The end of the regolith problem!

Neotuck - Thanks for sharing. I will use your design. Is very good. And i always like build and forget designs

to build be sure to include a water lock on the side

I first built a canister emptier inside and filled the room with hydrogen

then I deconstructed the emptier and built the rest. (leave the rail under the loader unfinished) I finished by sealing the room and deconstructing the water lock

send wild shove vole eggs in first by conveyor rail to the receptacle, set the loader in the room to pick them up so the sweeper will move them from the receptacle to the loader.  Then deselect the eggs from the loader list to drop them

(note this only works if the rail from the loader has no output, or else it will send it along the other rail to where ever that leads)

only after you are sure you found all vole eggs on the map should you change the loader to pick up egg shells and meat and finish the rail to be sent to your base

once your wild voles hatch start sending in regolith and watch it magically disappear

good luck ;)

Thanks again for instruction. I manually move the shove vole, and assign the dupe another task  before he reach the drop off point for preventing the game crash...I don't have patience to wait for the shove vole to lay eggs.

If your dupes can get in and out of the stable then your voles can escape, best to keep a sealed room

This is my early solution for shove vole containment. To the left of the storage compactor was the drop off point. No sealed room for me. Only labyrinth ones. But yours is better.

it's true you can trap voles like this but you risk them laying eggs underneath the platform were they drop to the ground

same problem with their poop which will form a solid tile, if enough poop they will form a bridge to the ground and escape

This doesn't work. The waterlock don't, keep the shove vole from escaping.

After black magic reload and making some modifications

It seems that steel door can hold inside (if the door isn't opened) the shove vole inside. I will make another attempt whit iron ore door to see if i have same results.

I told you didn't I?

the water lock is for your dupes so they can build inside, once they are finished seal the room

only way to get voles inside is by transporting eggs in and having them drop on the floor

refined metals only! voles will dig though a door made of ore
