Rather than randomizing and forcing players to reload save files over and over until they get the desired outcome, how about you just straight up give us choices. And for those who prefer the randomized option - one of the choice can just be random. This really just saves the player a ton of wasted time and everybody will be happy with options. Or this, or make randomized trait persist regardless of save/load(it can be done technically, so if you load game and use it again it still give you same trait, dedicated random generator for this purpose) and make device not for 1 use(so all dupes can get random reward, still sounds imbalanced...). crypticorb Posted September 25, 2018 Share Posted September 25, 2018 An alternative method to balance this would be to allow choosing a bonus trait, but if you let it be random, let the vaccilator give TWO bonuses, or a stronger single one.
