BlueLance
Hey guys, A quick question on aquatuners, I know they reduce a liquid packet temperature by a fixed amount, is that same amount added to the liquid it is submerged in or will that depend on the liquids thermal capacity? The reason I am asking is because if it takes 14 degrees out of a 10kg packet of water and adds 14 degrees to the liquid its sitting in (Lets say its only sitting in 10kg of oil at 10 degrees) that oil then becomes 24 degrees, or would it be a different amount due to the heat capacty? If it just increases the liquid around it by 14 degrees then wouldn't using a lower thermal capacity liquid mean you could cool that easier with an AETN/Wheezeworts? DaveSatx
it takes 14 degrees worth of heat energy from the liquid inside and "pushes" that into the surrounding liquid. the specific heat of both liquids can change the apparent change in temp if there is a wide disparity. i haven't done a survey of liquid specific heat yet so i don't know which have what specific heat Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/95189-question-on-aquatuners/#findComment-1081204 Share on other sites
