Hevel
Got two problems atm. 1 I have coal but my coal generator doesn't think so. (see 1st Picture) 2, I have issues with my wiring. It says its strained even though it has no power moving through it and my small transformer isn't letting power move through it. (see 2nd and 3rd Picture) I have deconstructed and replaced the transformer and coal generator, but that changed nothing and reloading the save didn't help either. Basically have I done something wrong or is this a bug? Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/94815-need-some-help-pls/ Share on other sites
Kabrute
transformers are diodes, the one mean't to put power on your backbone is backwards.... rewire this transformer so that its bottom side is connected to the heavy rail and its top side is connected to your gene, I recommend using the small transformer for this as it should limit power transfer. Set your coal gene to battery 100% and remove it from your hydrgon gene's battery grid because that is probably whats keeping the coal gene from getting fed. should really be two separate networks with independent transformers feeding the rail.... in my opinion Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/94815-need-some-help-pls/#findComment-1077389 Share on other sites
PhailRaptor
3 hours ago, Hevel said: 1 I have coal but my coal generator doesn't think so. (see 1st Picture) That message simply means that the Generator itself is empty. Your Dupes are simply not delivering to it. As soon as they do, that message will go away. Until it burns through the supply stored in it, and it needs to be refilled again. 4 hours ago, Hevel said: 2, I have issues with my wiring. (see 2nd and 3rd Picture) As Kabrute said, you have the Transformer right next to your Generator backwards. Follow the arrows. Power in goes on the top connector. Power out comes from the bottom one. Reverse your plug ins and it should be fine. Note that, due to how Transformers work, you will probably still see the "strained" message regardless. Transformers only let through as much power is actually going to be used, which by definition classifies the wire segment as "strained". SamLogan
3 hours ago, Hevel said: Thank you guys. That's fixed it. And thanks for the tips. Some tips : - You should place your Carbon Skimmer at the same stage or under the Coal Generator given the CO2 is a loud gaz and it tends to go down. - Don't use Power Transformer in early game, it produces a lot a heat and it's not necessary for a small electric network. It serves to dispatch huge electricity network (generators can produce from 2000 Watts to 20 000 Watts). - To never overload, check the circuit status by mouseover any electrical network. You will overload when the left number will go over 1000 Watts. Try to don't have more 1000 Watts demand per network as well you'll never overload.
