Operating in hazardous areas and UI modification.

First, Klei pls, pretty pls, adjust scripts so that dupes avoid doing stuff in water. Id sick and tired of those morons constantly building tiles, while standing knee deep in freezing water, even tho they can do the same job from top level. They get wet that adds stress, and if its ice biome they also get hypothermia all the time.

Just add some sort of priority penalty if pathfinding takes them to tiles that contain water on/above them, so that if there is maybe slightly longer path, but its dry, they will go thru there. Unless there is no other way, dupes ought to avoid water. Same rule could apply for many other hazards, like dupes casually strolling past erupting volcano(i do find it funny that molten lava do not instantly incinerate them).

Second, either extend building menus or, better, allow to customize them. Right now every building menu is 3 tiles wide(ladder, fire pole and plastic ladder are on same row, but Tile is already on the next one), but with almost every new update we get some new building(something that is really nice), so it it only 3 tiles wide and can be 8 tiles deep, prompting completely unnecessary scrolling, considering that there is already 13 categories for building. If build menu width were to be as wide as those of categories, each row could be 7 tiles wide, allowing even biggest building categories to be only 2 tiles deep and fit everything on one screen with no unnecessary scrolling.

If it can be done thru game file modifications, let me know.

the UI size is very subjective and situational, each person will have their own idea on what is optimal. maybe they should just allow us to edge-resize their width/height any time like any file-explorer window. I can afford making it bigger on my desktop, but not my laptop cause a mix of  DPI scaling and odd screen ratio.

I finally realized which tool tip sent me over the edge. The electric overlay when trying to place light sources. I never think about it until I'm using it. At least make the tool tip appear above it. It obscures the area I'm trying to work in.
