Craigjw
My power control stations are fully stocked up on refined materials, the generators are all in rooms. The electrical engineer is now at ~50% trained and i'm not getting any Engie's Tune up being applied to the generators. Perhaps there's a way to optimise the dupes to apply this upgrade, anyone have any ideas. KittenIsAGeek
I've never had problems with my engineers applying the tune up. Does your electrical engineer have access to the room? Are there any particular jobs your engineer is unable to do that might interfere with the process (like delivery?) Are there operation jobs that are taking priority and keeping your electrical engineer busy? The problem is that most of the equipment doesn't have a priority setting. The one that's on coal is for loading coal, not running operations. First, you need to have an electrical engineer. If you don't have that, they can't do much anyway. Next, you need to finish up any priority that's not operations. This includes: Metal Refinery, Rock Crusher, Apothecary, etc. These jobs have a sub-priority and are slated into the operations priority slot. Once all of this has caught up and completed, your electrical engineers should get themselves into the microchip factory to fabricate a chip and start slotting it into a generator. Craigjw
Everything is accessible. What priorities are optimal for the upgrade, perhaps I can increase the priority importance. I currently have everything on neutral, with operate at level 2. I'm having difficulty selecting ONLY the priorities that allow the engineer to make the tune up, while disallowing all other priorities. I have a suspicion that as WanderingKid mentioned, the engineer is doing rock crushing etc Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/93342-engies-tune-up-not-happening/#findComment-1062080 Share on other sites
WanderingKid
Supply is used to feed the Power Center. Operations is used from there out. They Operate on the chip, then they deploy the finished chip with Operate. Having started this discussion, I'm currently in my own game of hide and seek wondering why my refined iron isn't getting into the power center. I believe it has to do with the fact that I'm doing mass shipping builds on it right now, but if anything particularly odd shows up I'll mention it.
