Breaking temperature

Recommended Posts

All machinery and stations have a temperature at which they'll break, and it described in tooltip/object info.

But when I tried to make a cooling place for my machines, I found out that big portion of my sensors and radiant pipes got broken due to cold. They same goes for damage from overheating. Once my normal pipe broke at temperature ~75C, and I had no clue, why. I didn't find any info on recommended temperatures for any kind of transferring infrastructure except melting point. So, how do you know, where to use what? I'm trying to set up a steam turbine now, and I'm afraid that I might to redo everything because I don't have any sensible info on breaking temperatures. Debug mode for everything?

Well, I'm a dummy. There is no issues with comfortable temperatures for pipes. I scrolled through known bugs, and found that my issues with broken pipes and vents actually are caused by what @Gaons said. In case of cold is sometimes there were too little liquid (way less than 1 kg) that gets frozen instantly. And in case with heat it was an issue with metal refinery, that sometimes produces way hotter water than it supposed to be, so it managed to output steam, which broke my pipes, while I only see about 60-70C hot pipe.

Sorry for inconvenience.
