leoroy
Hello everyone! I've been using SPOM-like builds for my oxygen production for a while, but decided to modify it depending of what I found in my game. This might or not be consider a SPOM, but the initial design is totally inspired from. I found this design quite easy to use especially if you have a slush geyser. You can replace crude oil with water and the coolant too. You can do the same thing using wheez under the layer of crude oils with a vacuum and doors, but I wanted to do a no-wheez oxygen production this time. It's more compact too. It's quite simple design : mechanical filter to separate H2 from O2. O2 is pumped with 3 pumps (should put 4 if you plan to use 100% production). The O2 goes in radiant pipes in contact with crude oil. The layer of crude oil itself is cooled down with radiant pipes filled with PH2O. You can choose your target temperature with the temperature sensor in the layer of crude oil. There's probably plenty of things you can change to get the best out of it, feel free to comment Overall oxygen production. Kabrute
the hydro filtration lets you self power them so yes it is a self powered oxygen maker. Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/92618-oxygen-setup/#findComment-1055681 Share on other sites
leoroy
Well, glad you consider it a spom, but I didn't want people to start debating because it is not on close circuit I was reading somewhere about what is suppose to be a SPOM and I wasn't sure I could use the name Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/92618-oxygen-setup/#findComment-1055692 Share on other sites
beowulf2010
To be a SPOM, it just has to be self powered and produce oxygen. The only thing I see is that you're "wasting" power by having 2 pumps for the hydrogen. If you're careful with the filtering chimneys, you can handle up to 4 electrolizers worth of hydrogen (448g/s) with only one pump.
