I ran for like 2-3 minutes before I died to a beefalo because I had no armor and just wasn't prepared. The tree guard wouldn't stop chasing and I thought it would be smart :| to wake up a beefalo and the aggro would change over to the tree guard dude. NOPE LOL:biggrin-new:

Mobs lose aggro based on the distance that they've chased you for, but that distance goes to a ridiculously high amount if they were the ones you dealt damage to. I think they might give up eventually, but the only way to do that is to get so far away from them that they can't see you anymore.

One does not simply get away from beefalos that doesn't stop chasing after 2+ minutes lol

Yea Beef's don't ever stop chasing you if you aggro them (Meaning attack them, if it's mating for them, they will stop chasing you after a big). If a tree guard is giving you trouble, pull him into a tentacle.

I never found a way to avoid taking the fight to beefalo if I aggro them accidentally, other than fighting for my life and usually dieing.

They are the best for dealing with hounds. Run over to them, berry bush hat down and hounds will attack the beef's.

you don't need the berrybush hat for that, jsut run around beefalo long enough and the hounds will attack beefalo eventually.
