kuroko0820
Since Fert synth had changed, i try to build my base with flatuent duplicant only( now still in progress), since then gas now is sink through bottom make control of gas easier. For now reach 59cycle with 6 flatuent duplicant, left tank full with 2kg natural gas, other range about 600-900. But now i still not yet decide how to deal with the gas. let say i build like a pyramid upside down, with carbon skimmer at the bottom center, then how to control gas pump with automation, to make it suck up natural gas only ? trying to avoid chlorine and oxygen with less power. Kabrute
ok so I would put cskimmer at the very bottom, then just above that a gaseous element sensor set to nat gas, then above that the pump, with another sensor right above that also set to nat gas. As long as both the above and below sensor are reading nat gas thats all it will normally pull in. Final safeguard of a Filter (whether the game structure, or a Mechanical, or a Pipe Sensor/Shut off, any of them will do) if desired. Jackblac
I use a gas pump, gas filter and a valve in my setup. The filter puts the gas you want into the output and rest goes throught the valve at 10g/s. This way when it isnt sucking in the gas you want it is only working 2% of the time. It uses a bit more power than an automated one, but regulates itself and is 100% safe to use. Sometimes I add another filter to see if it picks up any other gas and put that to a couple pieces of pipe with a bridge at the end to see what it picks up. I attached the 2 filter setup. It's main purpose is to get rid of carbon dioxide, bit it also filters chlorine that it finds to that small piece of pipe Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/91688-assist-need-gas-control-automation/#findComment-1046969 Share on other sites
