Hover Hatches

I built the tile the hatches are floating over and put a fridge on it to store the eggs as a slow incubator.  Every hatch that comes out of it has been floating like this.  They age and become an adult normally, but it is really slow to turn them into meat.  Each shot only takes 2hp from them.

The rest of the building that you see was just built as I wanted to move the fridge so I could put a wall there.  The lower tile was to see if they would jump down but they are stuck there.

I've had them hatch from a fridge and float for a little while as they wait for their turn to do something.

They float forever, I guess because of being stuck on a single tile.  They can even eat and poop while floating.  I put them there so they couldn't fight back as the combat happens from the ladder.

When I deconstructed the tile below them they fell and became normal again.

Maybe they need another tile to start a walking animation that would get them out of it.  Making them fall also results in another animation.

I expect so, but that would invalidate my attempt at safe combat.  If they were on the far tile, the dupe would jump over next to them.

Just thought it looked funny.  I'm sure it will be adjusted in a future build.

I've got higher priority buffer fridges to store eggs I don't want going here.
