felix920506
I want to use smart batteries to monitor the charge of a battery bank but the charge level of batteries will become imbalanced after discharging half way and then recharging or just leaving it alone. The only workaround now is to use an array of all smart batteries but refined metal is bloody expensive and smart batteries don't offer more capacity than normal batteries in the same space thus driving up cost to build a battery bank that can be monitored and switch on/off generators through automation. In the game, if you connect two batteries together that are not charged to the same level, nothing will happen. but in real life, they will charge each other thus balancing the charge between them

Oozinator
Then try this, for me it works (so far i remember), i don't use normal batterys because of heat..
onebit
I use a smart battery to control two transformers with automation. The smart battery charges full, then it turns off the input transformer and turns on the output transformer. Grid -> Transformer -> Smart Battery -> Not -> Transformer -> Grid Battery levels on the grid balance out after a while.
