TheExceed Posted April 11, 2018 Share Posted April 11, 2018 With the ranching upgrade and breeding, shine bugs are more viable for crops. However, their pathing is unreliable. So it would be cool to have a light sensor to enable light if a shine bug leaves an area. Without need absurd amount of shinebugs. Currently there's nearly zero benefit to lighting anything other than bristle blossoms. If there were specific uses or bonuses to lighted areas, or if light affected systems differently (positively or negatively), I can see a need for a light sensor. No point having a light sensor if lights are not that useful as Crypticorb already stated. Sure, you could try use lights and shinbugs together in a bristle farm but that's soooo much extra engineering when cooling your water supply and producing more power would be simpler and easier for dealing with the extra power draw and temperature production than trying to use shinebugs for light.
