Mutineer
I created a simple circle. Pump-Valve-Exit. I put the valve at 1000g/sec. Output 10 kg-sec??? I was thinking, maybe I need to let liquid direction to go. So, I split pipe after the pump and put the second vent out. Output after Valve 5KG/sec??? Like it is ignoring Valve completely, and just division of flow by 2 after split working. Smithe37
Two possible causes: -The pipeline is not split and going right through the input/ouput in a straight line -A dupe has been occupied and not had time to manually change the flow on the valve Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/89653-how-liquid-valve-work/#findComment-1024669 Share on other sites
Mutineer
I check. 1) Everything looks fine, liquid entering one end of the valve and exiting other. 2) I always believe valve does not need dups to operate. All machinery that needs dups to operate have a priority system, you can assign priority to them. Switches. pumps, machinery - all that need dupe to come and do something have a priority assigned. Valve does not have a priority assigned. That means it does not need dupe to operate. Ayka
No, Valves very much need Dupes to operate, and are triggered by the "Toggle" Priority in your Priorities window. Try increasing priority for one or more of your dupes on Toggle, and see what happens. Mutineer
OK, I trust you and will try, but valve itself does not have a priority assigned, switched do. Inconsistency and bug? Ayka
No. They're all just assigned a base priority since they're an initiated task. They're only controlled by the Toggle Priority. if it were a repeating function they'd have Sub-Priorities. Mutineer
OK. It did work after I give a dupe priority to do so and give them access to the valve. Thanks.
