Automation. Open one door at time

This is a gas compressor design using door pumps, might be a bit simpler then your circuit. Its just a matter of adjusting the timers. On this design, the door on the further left stays closed while the other 4 open to suck the gas in, and only opens when the first door on the right closes. You can skip the AND gate if you want something that runs all the time, with no conditions.

Yeah, that's exactly what I thought about (and you quoted). buffer time = filter time x 2 , right? Looks like it's smallest one.
