Power Station, permanent micropchips

Recommended Posts

I think power stations should be their own crafting station. Keep the require room overlay, just make the item permanent rather than a temp buff.
You can then change the microchips to cost a bit more and different resources:
10Kg Gold
10Kg Iron
30Kg Copper.
50Kg Rubber (Produced by a rubber tree, rubber tree requires hydrogen environment)

With the cost change, you can change the buff to like 10W per microchip and keep the same time to upgrade a generator.

I don't think the buff for the microchip lasts long enough to be worth it in larger NGas power plants. With the use of smart batteries, they also don't run as often so you lose out on that power buff.

I too think power stations should be a full-fledged crafting station.  I'd also like to see more uses for microchips (robotics, "space technology", etc).  As to permanent upgrades, I can take it or leave it.  I don't mind that they're finite now that we have renewable sources of metal, but I do wish they took a bit less time to install.

Yeah that was my main concern. Like I said with the smart battery, most of the time, the generator isn't running so having the boost... really doesn't help that much, I have a room of 4 ngas gens and 2 dupes couldnt do all 4 before the first one had to be redone.

A permanent buff with needing more microchips would be cool in my opinion. Obviously put a cap on it.

But yeah more uses like upgrading stations/storage and robotics would be cool as hell.

Or a bit more time to work
