Art : Sculpture created from diamond. (100 % bonus decor) Automation : - With all volcanos in game it is really important to incrase range for thermo sensor. - Sensor which can be attached on gaysers and inform if gaysers is in dormant/active state. - Some automation device which can send some text (and eventually sound) notification to user when signals are true. (I use lot of automation and in some cases my creation can enter in error state, which required my attention. Of course it will be realy nice if I get information when this happen. For example "Run out of cooling liquid,BASE WILL MELT SOON " . - User text description for power/automation switches. (yes, it is from Dwarf fortress). Again i use lot of automation and after few days later I dont remember which switch do which task . Gaysers : It will be nice if analyzed gaysers provides some "avarage mass inflow" information. For example : Steam gayser provides 1 kg/s steam, eruption perioed is 50 s from 100 s, active period 50 cycles from 100 cycles. It means gaysers gives us average 250 g/s steam. Buildings : With new metal gaysers we get lot of refined metal. So it will be nice if we can use this refined metal to buildings. Simple, if something requred metal to be build it can be also be build from refined metal. Meybe even with better statistics, meybe ehhmm increased overheat temperature Cosmetics : Ceiling lights can produced color light. (white, red, blue, yellow, red). I use ceiling light as some visual information. (for example how much power my power plants produce. And of course some catastrophic situation desperately needs red ceillngs light. crypticorb Posted April 3, 2018 Share Posted April 3, 2018 I like almost all of these ideas, with some exceptions: The diamond producing hatch seems pointless, since we already have huge stockpiles of diamond, with little use for it, even if it was useful for art. I would appreciate if there was a real cosmetic change for using diamond in art, or diamond tiles, diamond everything, make it sparkly! As for geysers, I STRONGLY agree that the current analysis output is largely useless. Currently it gives us the eruption period as "126s every 840s", which is not particularly helpful. Does this mean 126s active out of 840s, or 126s active and then 840s inactive? A more useful analysis feedback would be "126s active, 840s inactive", and "33.9 cycles active, 53.8 cycles inactive". Knowing the average output/s or output/cycle would be FAR more useful. I love the idea of upgraded buildings, though it should be a system: build base structure of base material -> upgrade base building with refined metal and plastic for enhanced capacity such as higher overheat temp, more output power from generators, more storage capacity. Upgrading buildings instead of rebuilding them of better materials would allow much easier upgrading of existing systems to better versions, without making the base building useless. If it didn't say every, then I would agree. But it does say that which means every 840s, there is an active period of 126s. Same for the dormancy, which is a bit easier as it will see how long between activity/dormancy cycles which you could do the math to see how the system works. On the note of the post, I like the ideas. I would love to be able to make furniture from diamond to negate the high decor negative from the heavy watt wiring. And a way to make diamonds via coal like a new creature or station. I would also love to see upgrading of the new geysers. Since there is an analyzing system, it makes sense that you can upgrade it in someway.
