Critter overcrowding buff

Recommended Posts

I have a 96 tiles room for my slickster and i use this room to make egg incubate.

I put the maximum slickster in this room, i know if i had one more the slickster get the buff but it seem like when a different critter born inside slickster didn't get the buff.

It's look like the overcrowding buff depend on species, so you can have a room at number max of slickster and max of hatch at the same time.

Need to do more test to be sure

12 tiles per non-puft, 24 per puft.

One big problem is, the game doesn't tell you how many "free tiles" are there, so you need to do the math yourself.

It should be (assuming good code quality) next to trivial to add a tooltip on the room overlay or on the grooming station that says "can house x more [currently housed critter]", defaulting to hatch if no critter is housed there.

Thank for the math info

But i will say, i confirm what i thinking, i have a ranch full full of slickster (so 8), if i add one more it get the overcrowded buff, but if i add a hatch (so i get nine non-puft in the same room) nothing hapen, no debuff. so i will you use your info to look if i can have 8 slickster and 8 hatch in the same room
