The hydrogen comes from the electrolizer, it convers 1000g/s water into 883g/s O2 and 117g/s H.  the most a gene uses is 100/s while running at full capacity.  Using smart batteries makes them run even less often, saving more hydrogen.  With my current power consumption I could feed a 3rd gene and either split up my bases power grid or start building a backbone station, or start a special project.

any liquid except ph20 should work, the trick is to over fill the bottom square just enough the liquid barely rises into the top square.  Do this so that less than 2kg of liquid are in this top (vent) square and you can use a normal vent.  using a pitcher pump for filling the vent box will help you get the fine tuning down because the moment you uncheck that box it drops the bottle and quits dripping.

If you can't get it that finely tuned you will need the HP vent and then will have to keep the liquid in the vents square under 20k

no

vent in top square fill bottom square full till it pushes just tiny bit of liquid into top square, or decon block beneath vent, either way for it to work the liquid has to be able to move somewhere to get out of the way of the vent or the vent will delete the liquid

what he is referencing is very old but works still now and will teach you the mechanics of the plumbing et all for streamlining your system.

1 gram will fail randomly, need atleast 1.5 or 2 gram on valve.

How about the thermo nullifier any tips on how to use it efficiently? I tried covering it up with metal tiles plus crude oil inside to cool off my base but maybe you have better ideas

when I first used them I wrap a box around them, fill the space with hydrogen.  Start cooling that down then find ways of using it, now I just use them to keep the ice biomes cold so that I can get that organic free range harvest I mentioned before.  It depends on what you need mostly. If you are having heat problems in one part of your base, some thermo-regulators built under an aquatuner mounted by the AETN.

I only mention putting a tuner in there because you said you put oil in yours so use that liquid to tie the two structures together, the aquatuner will pull heat from the liquid in its pipes transfer it through your oil to your aetn.

from there you need the basics of my Lox machine without going as overboard a is needed to make liquid oxygen.

no it does not though it does have momentary affects on some things

the few bristle blossom you find you could easily grow by posting lights up around them, however, there are generally to few to do this viably for more than the starting 3 dupe squad.  Some seeds will lend themselves to this though by having like 30 blossoms tucked into starting biome, it just depends
