Thermoregulator feedback loop

Recommended Posts

can someone show me a successful thermoregulator feedback loop using the occupational update?  I found ones in the forums for old builds, and flipped things around to make it work under occupational update (inputs/outputs are different than the old screenshots) but I have an issue I can't seem to overcome, ONE packet of hydrogen circles endlessly through the loop until it eventually liquifies and breaks the pipe.  I'm sure I'm being completely dense and there is a way to overcome this, but I haven't found it although I've tried valves to make things smaller, and moving the bridge up and down.    Thanks all for the help.

I've had success in making the valve be the exit from the loop; that is, the pipe leaves the thermoregulator, a valve is placed directly on that pipe and leads away, but the pipe with the valve's input continues immediately into a bridge and then back into the thermoregulator input.

This way, if your source of hydrogen dries up, hydrogen will eventually leave the system. HOWEVER, it is still possible to have pipe breakage if that valve's value is too low. I can't get a screenshot right now; if you have continued issues, post a screenshot of what you have and we can help debug it better.

@Luminite2  This is the build, I'm working with the regulator far left, tried the bridge one space above, tried it two spaces above, but both times, one packet of hydrogen circled until it liquified, the other packets continued as normal through.  Ignore the gas pump, it is left over from when I vacuumed the room.  The valve in the far left hydrogen line is where I thought maybe if I made the hydrogen packets smaller than 1000kg that it might stop one 1000 packet from circling.  Didn't work.

The first thing on the pipe line leaving the thermoregulator needs to be a valve, whose output does NOT go back to the regulator. Immediately after the valve input needs to be a bridge which then goes back into the thermoregulator. Your input hydrogen should enter this feedback line via a second bridge, whose output square should be placed directly on the line heading into the thermoregulator.
