This is a bad idea, unless you extend the "reasons other than" list. It can easily happen that lights go out for a moment, or a blob of incorrect gas temporarily enters the tile, or there's temporarily no irrigation, and in all these cases this would be annoying. In fact, it used to be the way you ask for (and fixed in a recent update) and when it was the case, Farmer's touch was useless for my bristle blossoms with shinebugs, farmers would never make it in time with the illumination changing randomly.
