Job updates S L O W S gameplay

Recommended Posts

*This is not a complaint*This is based on ONE (1) 2 hour play, and may be completely WRONG*New keyboard, forgive typos*

It seems to me, that the Occupational Upgrade has dramatically slowed my base building.

From a new game, to 2 hours in:  Before update, I would have 5-6 contained levels, basic furniture/plumbing/farm/med and little to no litter.

Now,   I have 5 levels, incomplete because I cant dig the rocks, barely have beds, outhouse, sink, sweep jobs everywhere, and many many construction jobs not done too!

Now, if it was the DEV's intent to slow (beginning game at least) gameplay,  Good Job!

I understand and believe once my pawns "level up" things will be faster to make up the difference.....it is just frustrating...........

Great isn't it ;)

I love the new slower pace, and I think new players to the game will appreciate the learning process a lot more too.

Gone are the days of smashing a 3-400 cycle colony in one sitting and then being so bored you restart :D

I personally like that the update has slowed the game down. I've always preferred playing slow (and did so regardless to some extent), as I think "rushing" to late-game tech and systems somewhat devalues the experience as a whole.

The process of getting to late game (progressing your colony from nothing to something lol) should feel just as important, fun, challenging, and rewarding as the late game itself, imho. Although it requires some adjustments from what we're used to, in this respect the change is welcome from my pov.
