Saturnus
A simple suggestion really. Job seniorities should reflect the type of work the dupe does. A farm hand for example should assist farmers and seasoned farmers by doing the related logistical tasks associated with the farmers job before making their own farming related tasks. And seasoned farmer being highly skilled should only do farm related tasks at all. It's the trade off for being highly skilled and good at their job that they simply refuse to do other jobs unless specifically ordered to so in order to function optimally a highest tier dupe in any profession should have at least one lower tiered dupe to help him do his tasks optimally. What good is it being the boss if you have no one to boss around? What good is it being the most brilliant researcher in the world if you don't have assistants? So sort of like how school clubs work, 1st years collect the footballs at the end of practice, second years don't. I like the idea, wouldn't this also free up gofers since they will have less to pick up? Same goes for cooks etc, we can have the lowest tier be like porters, delivering the cooked and raw ingredients to and from the cooking station.
