I can't imagine this is supposed to happen. Of course over time, they perished completely without me doing anything, because they were dying on solid. Steelflame Posted January 25, 2018 Share Posted January 25, 2018 Much of the time iron ore spawns with germs on it, but by the time you actually get anything resembling a chance to interact with it the germs have already died off from being on a solid that isn't Slime. SquirrelTeeth Posted January 26, 2018 Share Posted January 26, 2018 I've seen one of these before;I think mine was mostly a phosphorite deposit, but I think I've lost the seed. My guess is that it's just a random spawn to keep the user on their toes with bacteria/ make use of the ore scrubber.
