Rily
Hi and sorry, Im new with this, I was wondering if there is a special version of the klei's tools for DST animations, I use the krane.exe to decopile and I usually get weird animations, for example, this this is how I got the proyect in spriter, as you can see is a bit flawed, the animation seems fine, only the png files are flawed in some way, I tried to fix the files but the output is broken too, its similar when I manage to copile it again with scml.exe, I got a similar result, png files messed up this is what I got without any kind of edition, both tools work flawlessly with DS files but I can't make it work properly for DST files, what I'm I doing wrong? I tried every ktools version available here, my game the "red list" and mod tools are updated, compatibility mode did not work either Edited December 14, 2017 by Rily Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/85435-krane-for-dst/ Share on other sites
OliveBread
now what you could do as a semi-solution, is make a mod titled, "the error of not starving" and just make a bunch of random sprites from the game broken, and maybe add a few broken creatures, i would love to see that Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/85435-krane-for-dst/#findComment-984291 Share on other sites
. . .
yeah ktools usually messes up stuff when it decompiles them, I don't think there's a version that doesn't do that at least not released to the public.. Fairly sure that's not the case. Ktools works fine, it's the autocompiler that messes up. If the DS compiler works fine, have you tried compiling as a DS mod, then using the assets for a DST one? EDIT: actually they both mess up, but ktools does it less often, the autocompiler messes up ~99% of the time, and ktools maybe 20%? Anyway to OP, if you just want to change the image files, I'll suggest editing the tex file, if not, at least replace the anim(not anim.zip, anim.bin which is inside anim.zip) file with the original, the autocompiler shreds animations so you probably want to stick with the original ones.
