Afro69
It would be great if we could have sensors for pipes. I would like to set up a pressure valve. If I had a sensor that measured the amount of liquid at a certain point in the pipe I could do this. Perhaps you could just allow us to connect the current hydro sensor. Just let us place it on a pipe so that it measures the amount of liquid that's present in the pipe at that point. sadovsf
For what use? Thinking about burst pipes maybe? But these san be done even now Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/85163-sensors-for-pipes/#findComment-982034 Share on other sites
Shaymes
a liquid or gas inside the pipe temperature scanner will become handy Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/85163-sensors-for-pipes/#findComment-983040 Share on other sites
Gearloose
+1 for this. Perhaps two types: Level and flow sensors. Level sensors measure how full a segment of pipe is relative to its capacity, and flow sensors measure how fast material is flowing through the pipes. In combination, you could use these to detect when a pipe is blocked (full, no flow) or starved (empty, no flow) or when a consumer is taking more resources than expected (flow above some threshold). vovik
Would be more handy if pressure valves did not allow more liquid to pass through if consumer stopped on the other side. But these san be done even now I have a few self contained systems that outputs additional water over time. Atm I am manually checking when the pipes become full so that I can manually let out the excess water. It would be much easier to have a sensor that I can use to make a system that detects when the pipes have gotten full and then automatically releases the excess water. So if you have found a way to do this please let me know.
