Server Dedicated Server Not Showing in Server List

Hello, the start of the new update ''Happy Hollow knights'' my server stopped showing in DST Server List. Would you guys try and help me solve this problem?

Your server log says that your server is on the game version 233071, which is the version from before the update. Just update your server, and it should work again.

@Daniel86268 How do I do that? Sorry I am new at this.. do I need to use steamcmd  command app_update 233071?

Just do the same as when you set up the server in the first place:

For Linux:

./steamcmd.sh +force_install_dir "<add installation directory here>" +login anonymous +app_update 343050 validate +quit

For Windows:

c:\steamcmd\steamcmd.exe +login anonymous +app_update 343050 validate +quit

(Make sure you use the correct server install locations)

and you should be good to go.

You can only download the newest update over steam or steamcmd. The version number is found on boot and in the server log ( [00:00:00]: Version: 233071 ) and the newest game version you always see in the changelog and your current game version number you can easiest find pressing the backspace key ingame and looking in the bottom left of the screen.

You don't enter the game version or something like that. You enter the game server ID, which in DST's case is always 343050. It always updates to the newest version available.

Did you install it in the correct location? (according to your logs it's "C:/server")

I also found something my  dontstarve_dedicated_server_nullrenderer tells also the same thing

The server should've updated properly then, but obviously steam didn't touch those server files at all. My bet would be still on accidentally chosing a different install location in steamcmd.

I did chose to move my steamcmd  in desktop in a new folder

Check, if the default installation is inside of that folder. Maybe it just installed it there for no other reason.

There we go .

Now you can either copy it over or just change up your startup script to launch this server so you don't have to worry about copying it over after the next update .
