Chlorine will kill off germs on contact, however to kill germs within tiles you're best using temperature. Clicking on a tile with slimelung in it within the game will allow you to press "FULL INFO" - which will show you all the details you need (personally I find a nice drop of ice water normally does the trick )
Kermack
Slimelung dies in and on anything that isn't slime or polluted oxygen. Containing those 2 things is key to beating slime, along with time. The ore scrubber can remove some slimelung from ore, and if you introduce some chlorine gas in a room with slimelung present in the air, it will die off faster. Algae distillers also work to kill slimelung.

Michi01
If you're having trouble with slimelung germs in polluted oxygen, the easiest solution is converting it into oxygen with a deodorizer.

The bio distillers that convert slime. They throw some of the slimelung in to their polluted water waste and some on the algae which can be cleaned with chlorine room, cold room, or ore scrubber. If you put contaminated algae into a deoxidizer, yes, you're going to have a bad time.

That's what I meant. Must have read "deoxidizers" instead of "distillers" and whent on from there
