iamoysterboy
Hey! I am new to the forum although I have been reading for a while. If I sound weird its because english isn’t my first language. Nice to meet ya’ll! I am trying out the extended template character for dst, it works marvellously.. except that I have no idea how to make sure everything is lined up properly in-game. Currently, my facial expressions tend to move around a bit in-game, and I was wondering if anyone has any tips or links to tutorials to help me out? RedHairedHero
This should walk you through how to use the template. Typically if you're making your character you'll want to not make any changes to the dimensions for the parts or move them around as it can cause issues when you try them out in game. Snowie
Although I'm not even close to finished with the art for my character, I've been using layers to line up my new assets with the esctemplate examples, then deleting the esctemplate base layer. You could also try using existing characters for an extra reference layer--just make sure you only have one layer when you save it, otherwise it can't save in the proper file format. icantevenname
There's the Don't Starve Mod Tools. On Steam, go to Library's drop-down menu and select Tools. You should find it there. When you run it, you'll find the Spriter tool, which'll show you how the character looks from all sides.
Renamon
its all about eyeing each image to line up to create your characters build when you create them out of the template.
