Kermack
They sure seem attracted to my mushroom farms... anyone pinned down what they are really attracted to? I actually agree with your observation, but it could very well be just in our heads... Like the idea that dupes seem to be attracted to clean water reservoir when they need to barf. I think it may just be that you notice them when they get somewhere that you don't want them I.e. if all your crops start stifling then you're more prone to be like "WTF! GET OUT OF THERE YOU SHINY LITTLE...." Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/82667-shine-bug-attraction/#findComment-960906 Share on other sites

I know, the Dev's probably too busy to slip something in a code to mess with people... but the mushroom farm in my OU base is outside of the main living quarter, but somehow, a shinebug managed to get through so many doors and got into my mushroom farm... (I also had a free-roaming puft that ended up in there as well). These things happen sometimes, I know, but the crazy in me would scream blood conspiracy when they happen Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/82667-shine-bug-attraction/#findComment-960911 Share on other sites
Creepler
I personally think they are attracted to CO2, but in my last save they are hanging around the reeds a lot even tho they are in polluted O2.. But in general in most of my saves those shiny bugs tend to go towards the CO2 zone of my bases.. Risu
They're not actually attracted to anything. Just wanders aimlessly, unlike every other creature. Even the Pacu can be lured. Michi01
I'm under the impression that they have a tendency to wander downwards. If that's true, it could definitely give people the impression that they are attracted to CO2 and dusk cap farms, since people often place them at the bottom of their base in the CO2.
