I wish we could combine partially used items

I was about to open a thread for this!We need to be able to purge or combine the used tools. I have a huge stack at my doorstep of 3% armors, 4&spears, shovels etc that I don't want to carry around and want to get rid of.You can add a new structure: Trash Bin that allows unwanted items to be discarded. When you discard 1-2-3 items, you get a fertilizer thing.A good way to recycle!

I like this idea, a weapon at 10-20% or especially armour and bee-hat at low percentages are useless.So I have to toss them and then they just lay around forever so I run into them 50 days later or I have to make a junkpile near my base.If not this then I'd at least like some device that lets me burn any type of item for heat and light or that processes them into junk bricks that can then be used as firewood.

Generally this is something useful, those nearly broken armor and weapons are simply annoying. But combining two items of a certain value to get one with a higher value as it is done in many games is stupid. A trash bin doesn't seem to fit in a survival game. Afterall Wilson has to fear everyday about death and not to get insane, now the least thing he would think about is creating a trash bin I'd assume.Instead there could be the possiblity to feed things to Chester, say you have the option to either store something in Chester or let him have a snack, that way you'd get rid of those next to useless low % items, and Chester would be more interactive than just a handsfree walking storage (and monster bait, as I use him sometimes for). He would demand something to eat by times, doesn't matter what, that thing eats everything else.... Idk. Maybe he refuses to move on if not feed sometimes.

I think its funny that there are some of that make "trash piles" of stuff we cant use in a survival game. One would think that we would be encourages to reuse EVERYTHING in some form or fashion XD. Oh well until we get a trash bin or a way to combine items Ill just keep making neat little trash piles, planting a tree on them then setting the tree on fire. At least pretending like Im doing something about my in game trash .

Huh. Well you would figure the easy simple fix for this suggestion would be some sort of repairing kit/repairing table/shredder that destroys anything you put into it that gives you something that made the thing.Like in Fallout 3 when you have two guns and repair them to make it become a better condition.Speaking of shredders, you'd think there would be a way to make mulch with all that grass! :U
