In/Out port on large batteries

Recommended Posts

With the load on wires becoming an issue with larger bases, if large batteries had two ports they could act as a buffer between systems.  Have one port to bring in power and one port to power devices.  This way you could use a battery bank between generator rooms and rooms with lots of power users to created independent circuits.  Thoughts?

I think I'd like this. The power grid overlay could actually show the flow of electricity with lightning bolts or yellow squares moving through the pipes like gas flow from generator to battery to show power building up, then flowing out to various connected devices.

I've struggled with actually having power build up in batteries, before being completely used, so I really like this idea... and while the current system is nice, because everything receives uniform power immediately, I think this would make a better addition to the game as it would make the Power system similar to that of Gas and Water.. better intricacies.

Showing the actual power generation would be a wonderful addition.. it could even show when not enough power was being produced for it to actually make it to a device/equipment that needs said power.
