Mistake in Gas Plumbing

Recommended Posts

It's correct as-is. In the language of the piping system, green means "Leaving the pipes and going into the module the pipe is attached to." White means "leaving a module and going into the pipes."

When you vent gas, the gas goes out of a pipe and into the vent, not out of the vent and into the pipe. So it should be green, which it is. And for the pump, the gas goes from the pump into the pipe, so it's white, as it should be. out of a module --> into a modules --> out of a module --> into a module, it always must alternate.

The filter I definitely agree on though, pretty misleading animation.

The animation for gas filter suggests it was originally supposed to release the filtered gas but then devs decided to give it a third output instead. I think it was a good choice as there's no problem putting a vent right beside it but capturing that gas again would require another pump and more electricity.

Agreed, but if you switch the way it works you need to make a new animation to not confuse people. I see this all the time on let's plays where players don't conceive of the possibility of an output in the middle but seem to have no problem with other buildings.

Agreed, but the game is still in alpha. It's subject to many changes and balancing touches.

I believe we will get matching animation eventually.
