vonVile
I have noticed that Dupes prioritize going to the stored water over the Bottled Water even though the Bottled Water is right in front of them. This behavior should be flipped. Dupes should only go to the stored water when there is no other water accessible. In my last colony I had a lot of Bottled Water all over, but the Dupes thought it was best to completely drain my water surplus first. Bottled water only appears if you destroyed an object that had water in it already. But itr would be an interesting thing, to be able to stock on bottle water and leave in somwhere, like some kind of water tanks or directly on the floor, that would shorten the distance for dupes to get water for certain buildings. Like make a water tank besides a algae terrarium farm, that would be a really efficient way of using this. DemainaNyx
Agreed. I try not to change my base because of it. It would be nice to be able to have them use the water next to them instead of running 10 minutes away to get water. Kasuha
There are bottles all around my base, containing all kinds of things including liquid carbon dioxide. I would love some kind of structure (e.g. collector tank) similar to storage compactor - dupes would pick bottles and empty it to the tank and it would have liquid and gas pipe output and would send the contents of the bottle wherever I want to get rid of it. Or there could be two, collector tank for bottles of gas, and collector barrel for bottles of liquid. And there could be even a bottle filler structure that would produce bottles of liquid or gas - so I can put it next to a pump and it would produce bottles that dupes can pick and transport somewhere instead of having to build a pipe. Good solution for small amounts. If there's a way to get rid of bottles, moping could produce bottles of appropriate water, too. Dupes should still go to the closest water source and not travel across the map to get it.
