Pufts disappearing bug?

Recommended Posts

I tried to enclose a puft in a cave to make him produce slime and clean the air, but after a few minutes he flew off into the base. He didn't really give a *** about doors, untill a mechanized airlock closed on him and he disappeared, never to be found again.

Is this a bug? did I kill him with the door? Also how can I make them stay in their spot, as soon as I open up their cave they just fly everywhere...

Funny, I've had them use doors too but usually not get trapped.  Also, if they run out of contaminated oxygen, they die off.  I had several of them corralled and they all died of no matter how hard I tried to keep them supplied with contaminated oxygen...  Your mileage may vary...

I heard if you generate contaminated oxygen from morbs only, they'll last longer. Because if they get over heated, they'll die or so I heard.

The problem is unless they spawn near your starting area, chances are you're never going to see any beyond that. The temps kill them on the outer biomes. I feel like they should make enclosed biomes where they can survive if they spawn outside the starting area.

I'd probably only see pufts in 1 out of 5 worlds atm.

i've seen creatures disappear if i build anything near them if they'r walking or on top of them.

They can get through any door if not set to "close" also pufts can go through any ladder and tend to get to highest possible place.

But most probably they died out from heat, don't dig out abyssalite and keep them cool wherever they were, don't bring them to your base, will die of cold ;)
