For example; there is a vacuum pocket near an area that you are digging out and you want to make sure you don't forget and accidentally dig into it, so you place down a marker (similar to the dig marker) that acts as a visual reminder that the area is dangerous. The dupes would not actually do anything until yo change the priority, which would allow you to visually plan out your base, without actually building.
