MilesDaSheep Posted December 11, 2016 Share Posted December 11, 2016 I started a server, not a dedicated server, with both forest and caves servers. for more than 50 days the server ran with no problems, with mods. Then one day when i tried to run the server it said "Dedicated Server Failed to Start". I tried disabling all the mods, but the server still does not run. How to fix? Or you expect someone to guess why it doesn't start? Cos doubt that will work... Snowblindness Posted December 20, 2016 Share Posted December 20, 2016 Or maybe you did not read the OP properly? He did not start a dedicated server. He just turned the Caves on. If these two things are the same... then Klei does a pretty bad job at communicating that to the players. I have the same problem and I'm pretty freaking sure I didn't set up any dedicated server... cause I don't even know how to do that. The funny things is that I played a Caves game before with no issues. Now I cannot start one at all, because of this (seems to be nonsensical) message.
