Stratipoccles
I have discovered a bug related to world creation settings in RoG. I once played the game before the RoG was out and I remembered that option "Seasons" if left to default gives 25 day long summer and 25 day long winter, and if set to "Long Both", it stands for 50 days long both. When I start a game now, with RoG turned on, and leave season length to "default", indeed, season changes at 25(26)th day. But if I set "Long" than it lasts exactly the same amount of days, tested a lot. Only if I set to "Short" they last, in fact, 10 days. I suggested RoG was the problem, started a game without and set Seasons to "Long Both" and, as it was back in the day, I get 50 days-long autumn and winter. Now, a question: why? Why didn't they test the season length option? It sucks to have an option doing nothing. I would like to play with the four seasons but 4 weeks is nothing to prepare to another season with harsh Don't Starve environment. Also, my game is slightly outdated, planning to buy it on Steam soon
MTX1234
Well on default both autumn and spring last 20 days, summer and winter 15. on long 50 for autumn and spring and 40 for summer and winter.
Stratipoccles
Well, yes. But for me, it only is 20-25 days for all the season when I set "Season Length" to longer, which is PAIN
imsomony
You mention your game is outdated ... that's likely why you're experiencing weirdness. You should be experiencing what's shown on the Wiki, it's been extensively tested and validated: http://dontstarve.wikia.com/wiki/Seasons. Season default length has been normalized for about as long as I've been playing (2013) but I'm also on Steam, where the game auto-updates. If you're DRM-free, trying running the updater to get in-sync with how things are currently: http://support.kleientertainment.com/customer/portal/articles/1233680
