@MrDeepDarkmind the client_log.txt would most likely specify what's wrong so follow your steps to make it happen again then get the client_log.txt from Documents\Klei\DoNotStarveTogether and attach it to your next reply.

After that try the following method:

  1. Right click Don't Starve Together from steam library
  2. Click Properties
  3. Select Local Files Tab
  4. Click Browse Local Files
  5. Open the bin folder
  6. Right click dontstarve_steam.exe
  7. Click Properties
  8. Select Compatibility Tab
  9. Enable Run this program as administrator
  10. Click Apply
  11. Click Ok
  12. Repeat steps 6-10 above for the dontstarve_dedicated_server_nullrenderer.exe file next
  13. Open steam again and run Don't Starve Together from the Games Library again

Could you please attach it (its full path should be E:\Steam\steamapps\common\Don't Starve Together\data\scripts\components\fertilizer.lua), just to see how it currently looks.

Then please try to verify your game cache, see e.g. https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2037-QEUH-3335.
