What determines the two characters who appear on title screen?

Usually it is some person's character I don't think I've ever met and another person's character whom I played with once locally... but is there some pattern to it? My own never seems to appear.

idk because ive seen myself pop up on the character screen multiple times

I thought that they are your friends but I have unknown players in my start screen frecuently, besides they are always wearing rare clothes, maybe they are players who spend more time in the game... could be?

I have notice they come from you're encounters, and friends list, if you want the people from your encounters to stop appearing, visit your morgue and you should see a tab labled as encounters, if you click it you should see a list of players you've played in other servers and you should also see a trashcan icon next to their name example:Chirpy:^)to remove them from the encounters list, and your main menu.

So that's a list of how you delete people from appearing on the main menu in case they're bugging you.

Yeah just seems like they're randomly pulled from encounters(which is all the players you've been on a server with recently.)  Doesn't seem like their gear reflects the gear those characters had (but the character matches)
