Placement : building on top of other structures or right next to them

hi,

is it possible to build on top of other structures or right next to them ?

There's a shelter mod that I would like to expand so that you could like , build a shelter right next to a pond, so you can fish under a shelter (currently not possible due to collisions) & many other actions that are done while standing still but require another structure or entity in the world that you can't build right next to...

edit: I realize this could be mistaken as a game question, it's not, it's about modding properties of objects

The above makes any recipe ignore distance to other objects. If you want a specific recipe to do this, use this instead (pseudo-code):

local recipe_reference = Recipe(...)
recipe_reference.min_spacing =

@Mobbstar that is exactly what I was looking for

now I'm wondering if structures with the "shelter" tag can actually protect other structures beside the player, probably not
