MadMatt
This list will list off the multiple people or ranks there are in this game, all the way from griefers to the leeches. Griefers: Griefers are very common creatures, they usually play as willow but have learned to disguise themselves as an unsuspecting woodie or even maxwell. They usually burn down bases and leave the server but they also can take a mare subtle approach by draining sanity using water balloons or just sticking around after death. These are harmful creatures that should be hunted to extinction. They have invaluable hides and usually cost around half a common t-shirt or a common glove. Leeches: These devastating creatures are the pinnacle of slacking. They usually find a base to be its next victim and latch on, eating food and using materials and rarely do anything of use. There is not much more to say about them besides that they have valuable hide usually being around a classy glove and 2 common shirts. The Noob: These creatures have just installed the game and die immediately. They have hide of no value. The Console Abuser: These rare and mysterious creatures dwell on non-dedicated servers and abuse the console usually spawning giants and creating havoc. There are rare reports of them since they usually kill and destroy everything in their way. They have incredibly valued hide usually costing around 2 spiffy skins and 5 commons. The Thinker: These advancements in don't starve players is a discovery of the ages! They actually work with others and coordinate with others, they have even been reported to making a "trade route" in between separate camps to easily and quickly trade resources. However they usually fall victim to the Griefers and leeches due to the thought put into bases. They have hide of no value but they have been known to be sold in slave trades for up to 4 elegant skins! The Pro: They have spent years surviving up to day 100 and beyond, they have memorized the name of every enemy and animal, hit points, how much damage weapons do, and the superb base location. They usually work alone and have been known to call others filthy casuals and rage and be extremely salty when someone screws with them or die. They have hide worth 10 distinguished/elegants. The Don't Starve Together world is a beautiful and a harsh one, full of mystery and wonder. I have only reported a fraction of the inhabitants of this strange place. If you have found a new species report it to the local Don't Starve zoo and preservation center. Until next time! Retribution26
Interesting thread idea. One of my all time pet peeves: The hoarder. Digs, hammers, and generally pillages often non-renewable world resources for their super secret solo base. Those pig huts everyone uses at the pig king for werepigs/woodslaves? Yep all hammered and in his base now. All those cluster of berry bushes near Goose/Goose spawns?, and everywhere else? They are with the other 50+ bushes in his base supporting the hoarder. Hoarder is a Webber? He got 6 silk from his beard, bumped all the tier 2 dens in the spider forest (and everywhere else) to tier 3 and has 15+ dens near his base before any other dens hit Tier 3 naturally. Curiously the most adept hoarders tend to have the most experience, but alas experience does not always beget courtesy towards others. ADinosaur
Laggers: These people don't have friends to play with and don't have beefy computers making them practically living statues. They tend to become leechers after they lose all hope of getting rid of rubberbanding. Their hide is worth an outstanding amount of .25 common shoes. KoreanWaffles
Then there's me (and probably a bunch of other people I don't know). The Wanderer These rarer beings often travels solo and hitchhikes a base or two to craft and use a crockpot. Shares characteristics of a Hoarder in the sense that a Wanderer is always stacked on resources (for they are always exploring). Wanderers rarely settle down and although they can seem rather aloof, they can be rather nice people and may even donate their abundance of resources to other players. Their hide's worth varies depending on their personality and attributes split among the other ranks. BeastNips
The Teacher: they spend their time trying to educate new players that are willing to learn. They will often clash with The "pros", as their style tends to be gently guiding other players rather than forcing them. Bahlsen
There was a good thread like this one last year you should take a look. It was already accurate but maybe some things have changed by the time. fsp98
The Logoff: Subspecies of The Noob. They exploit the login-dwarf light and log off whenever fight gets too intense. Sometimes spotted near other players with lanterns, or standing in wilderness at night. The cause of death, in some cases, is darkness anyway. The Beaver: These creatures usually play as Woodie or Maxwell. They chop all the trees around bases and Florid Postern, using either Woodie's werebeaver form or Maxwell's shadow puppets, yet to be spotted picking the wood up. Commonly dies from insanity, forest fires or treeguards.
