PanAzej
Hiya! So, I ported player_actions_telescope to DST and it works, serverside, clientside, and all that good stuff. I wanted to reuse this animation to make a Sniper rifle shooting action. And it works, but the problem is: The workspace I can work with is way too small. I can't make a good-looking rifle with so limited space: (I used krane to show usable space, and if you want to tell me I should use telescope_long, then, well telescope_long doesn't look much better...) I also tried to unpack the graphics (since there's no anim.bin file in either telescope files I used player_actions_telescope as anim file). And everything works well! I have whole big graphic files that I can manipulate size of. The problem is: When I compile the spriter file with autocompiler and try out the ported action, player's build becomes invisible and only the rifle is visible (playing animation correctly, but who cares when the character itself is invisible?). Replacing telescope's build with another item (Spear for example) works, but I haven't found an item that has that "front view" animation. The spear just disappears... I tried fiddling around with camera and changing builds depending on player's rotation, but it's DST. Stategraph only takes the user's view into consideration. And I'd rather drop the project completely than make some weird stuff based on individual player's vision. I post this here, because it's not possible to test this without having access to telescope build/anims (Shipwrecked, basically.) Does anyone know if there's an item that has similar model views (front, sides) that can work with this anim? Or maybe can unpack the anim in some better magical way that I don't know of, that will work even after recompiling? Any help is appreciated.
