Expect another small teaser for Smashup soon!~) Does anyone know if there are any rules on using assets from expansions (Shipwrecked and RoG) in vanilla versions of game mods? I've looked over the player creation guidelines, and although it doesn't specifically say anything about it, it feels like something there would be problems with if someone just started pasting loads of content from expansion packs into the vanilla game. So if I have a specific animation file from shipwrecked I wanted to use, Would I be allowed to just copy/paste that anim file into the mod? Or would I have to recreate it? (re-draw and animate) This might be a topic I'd need to ask the admins about, but I thought I'd ask here first. I suspect that as long as you aren't actively trying to bypass the paywall then it should be fine. Honestly, most people won't even notice if you use the adventure door and ice flingon for half of your machines game assets cleverly. If the assets come from a non-Klei game, you can't use them due to Klei's policy though (or at least they kindly ask you not to do so).
